Greater Sarasota Junior Golf Association

Rules Test
Summer, 2008

Welcome to the GSJGA! As with all games, it is important in golf to know the rules and to play the game fairly. All juniors (except Fun Camp participants) must return the completed rules exam with their GSJGA application.

  • Juniors in the Mini-Tour Division (Beginners) must answer questions 1-10;
  • the Futures Tour Division (9-Holers) must answer questions 1-20;
  • and, the Regular Tour Division (18-Holers) must answer questions 1-30.

In order to learn and understand the correct answers, we encourage you to utilize the USGA Rules of Golf at www.USGA.org. GSJGA members will receive rules books (appropriate for their division) at their first event. Knowing the rules can be a very important part of your success in golf. Don't always think of rules as something that will be broken - many times they can help you get out of a sticky situation!
