The Elite Junior Tour is a subsidiary of the Greater Sarasota Junior Golf Association. The program consists of four two-day summer tournaments, all of which award JUNIOR GOLF SCOREBOARD points. In addition, the four division winners at each tournament will be awarded FLORIDA JUNIOR TOUR exemptions.
Elite Junior Tour (EJT) events are held at difficult courses with strong course ratings and slopes. EJT events are specifically designed for high school boys and girls who are going to play college golf. These EJT tournaments will provide a training ground for the level of golf skills juniors will need to play when they go on to college golf.
The tournaments are open to low handicap boys and girls: Boys 13-15* and 16-18; girls 13-15* and 16-18. (18-year olds who graduated from high school in the spring of 2009 are eligible) Boys must be able to play to a handicap of 12 or less and girls to a handicap of 15 or less.
*Junior golfers younger than 13 who can meet the low handicap requirements when playing long and difficult golf courses are welcomed and encouraged to play in the 13-15 divisions.
GSJGA members can play at no cost. Registration is required, however. Non-GSJGA members are warmly welcomed and can register for a $15 fee per two-day event. Entry fees must be paid in advance.
Registration will be handled only through GSJGA. Entry forms are now posted at "Download Forms."
