Earn points for college scholarships!  All EJT tournaments are sanctioned by Junior Golf Scoreboard (JGS); JGS points are awarded at each Elite Junior tour tournament.  Go to juniorgolfscoreboard.com to get valuable information on how the Elite Junior Tour and Junior Golf Scoreboard might help you earn a college golf scholarship.

The Greater Sarasota Junior Golf Association (GSJGA) is proud to announce the 4th season of the ELITE JUNIOR TOUR (EJT).  As in past years, EJT will again host four Junior Golf Scoreboard-rated tournaments featuring top flight junior golfers playing the best golf courses in the greater Sarasota area - two Ron Garl golf courses and two Arthur Hills golf courses.

Summer 2011 Schedule:

TH & FR, July 14 & 15, Tara Golf & Country Club, Bradenton, FL
TH & FR, July 21 & 22, Stoneybrook G&CC, Sarasota, FL
TH & FR, July 28 & 29, Kingsway CC, Lake Suzy, FL
TH & FR, August 11 & 12, The Oaks Club, Osprey, FL

(The Oaks Club was the site of the 2011 USGA Women's Open Sectional Qualifier held on Monday, May 16, 2011)

Who Plays?

An EJT tournament has a maximum field of 42 players teeing off between 8:00 and 10:00 A.M.  The best 42 golfers get into the field - not necessarily the first 42 to send in entries.  Last year, there were no boys playing who had a double-digit handicap.  The maximum girls' handicap was 14.

Boys 16-18      Play from 6,700 to 7,000 yards
Boys 13-15      Play from 6,500 to 6,700 yards

Girls 16-18      Play from 5,800 to 6,000 yards
Girls 13-15      Play from 5,600 to 5,800 yards

Please note that our youngest age group is "13 to 15."  If a golfer younger than 13 has a truly strong game, that player is welcomed.....two years ago, the runner-up in the Girls 13-15 was an 11-year old who shot 83-82 at The Oaks Club!
