Elite Junior Tour (EJT)
Is EJT Your Road To A Golf Scholarship?
In 2008, Greater Sarasota Junior Golf Association President Mike McClellan noted that Sarasota junior golfers were rarely in the Top 20 in statewide tournaments, and that few Sarasota area juniors were recruited by college golf coaches. Under his direction, the GSJGA created the Elite Junior Tour (EJT).
Wow!! The Elite Junior Tour has certainly changed the competitiveness of Sarasota area juniors! In 2013, only its fifth year of operation:
Last summer in 2012, EJT juniors had a ton of success!
Florida Jr. Match Play Championship:
Boys 16-18 Champion - an EJT junior
Boys 13-15 Champion - an EJT junior
Runner-Up - an EJT junior
June 2012 H.S. Graduates - 15 EJT grads are now playing college golf as freshmen!
* Do you want to play college golf? Play in tough competition on tough golf courses! Play in the Elite Junior Tour!
* All EJT tournaments are JUNIOR GOLF SCOREBOARD-RANKED. In order to be credited with JGS ranking points, you must list your hometown upon registering.
• All EJT competition courses are set at collegiate championship levels (i.e., Boys 16-18 play from 6,800 to 7,000+ yards)
• The competition is fierce - only 42 entrants play per tournament
• Competitors come from a wide area of Florida to compete
• Four flights * Boys 13-15, 16-18 & Girls 13-15, 16-18*
• EJT plays the very best golf courses in the greater Sarasota area.
Want to find out how good a game you have? Test it at EJT this summer.
Summer 2013 Elite Junior Tour Schedule:

ENTRY PROCESS:
Entries are accepted based on lowest 42 handicaps, not the first 42 entries recieved. Feel free to call and inquire if you have questions regarding this process.
COST:
To play in one or more EJT events, you must belong to the Greater Sarasota Junior Golf Association ($25 one-time join fee for the year. Then each EJT tournament requires a separate $35 entry fee......the reason for the low entry fee - EJT is a heavily subsidized charitable effort provided by the Greater Sarasota Area FSGA Tournament Committee members.
Winners from each division in all three EJT tournaments will win an exemption into a Florida Junior Tour event in the 2013-2014 season!
