Program Information
(Summer 2011)
FUN CAMP, $20 - A 3-hour instructional event run by local PGA Golf Professionals, includes skills games for all and evaluation for juniors who wish to continue in the summer program. GSJGA membership IS NOT required. Tuesday 5/24 and/or Tuesday 5/31; 5-8 PM, at The Meadows.
GSJGA MEMBERSHIP - $25
MINI-TOUR - $50 - includes 5 sessions. GSJGA membership IS required. Tuesday, 6/7, 6/14, 6/21, 6/28 & 7/5; 5-8PM, at The Meadows. Season-ending Phyllis Wilbanks Memorial Tournament at Gulf Gate Golf Course on Saturday, July 9, 8:30 SG. No charge, by invitation only (based on attendance).
FUTURES TOUR - $15/event - includes 6 Monday morning events at various courses (See "Tournaments" for schedule). 8:30-11:00 AM. GSJGA membership IS required. On course experience. 9-Hole Flight and Modified 9-Hole Flight. Season-ending Futures Finale at Peridia G&CC on Saturday, July 30, AM. No charge, by invitation only (based on attendance).
REGULAR TOUR - $25/event - includes 7 Monday morning events at various courses (see "Tournaments" for schedule). 8:30 Shotgun starts. GSJGA membership IS required. Season-ending Tournament of Champions at The Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club, Saturday & Sunday, August 13 & 14. Starting times to be announced. No charge, by invitation only (based on points earned; see "Tournament of Champions" info below)

Boys 16-18, 6,400 - 6,800
Boys 13-15, 6,000 - 6,400
Boys 12 & Under, 5,200 - 5,800
Girls 16-18, 5,400 - 5,900
Girls 13-15, 5,000 - 5,400
Girls 12 & Under, 4,600 - 5,000
Juniors can elect to play up in an older division.
ELITE JUNIOR TOUR - $20/event - each event is 2-days. See "Tournaments" for schedule. Tournaments will begin in the AM. GSJGA membership IS required. Field is limited to 42 players with the lowest handicaps. See "EJT" for more information.
TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS - Members in the Regular Tour and Elite Junior Tour are eligible to compete for an invitation to the Tournament of Champions. The 2011 event will be held at The Ritz Carlton Members Golf Club on 8/13 & 8/14. Starting times will be announced; no charge, by invitation only. Eligibility is based on points earned. For 2011, 3 1/2 points are needed:
5 points for winning the event
4 points for second place
3 points for third place
2 points for fourth place
1 point for fifth place
½ point for competing in the event
½ point if event is rained out after starting
0 points for disqualification
-1 point for players canceling less than one hour prior to start of event
-1 point for failing to return a scorecard
-2 ½ points for no shows
