Program Information for Summer 2013
 

FUN CAMP, $15 - A 3-hour instructional event run by local PGA Golf Professionals, includes skills games for all and evaluation for juniors who wish to continue in the summer program.  GSJGA membership IS NOT required.  Tuesday 5/21 and/or Tuesday 5/28; 5-8 PM, at The Meadows-Groves Course.

GSJGA MEMBERSHIP - $25

MINI-TOUR - $50 - includes 5 sessions.  GSJGA membership IS required.  Tuesday, 6/5, 6/12, 6/19, 6/26 & 7/3; 5-8PM, at The Meadows.  Season-ending Phyllis Wilbanks Memorial Tournament at Gulf Gate Golf Course (date to be determined).

FUTURES TOUR - $15-$20/event - includes 6-7 Monday morning events at various courses (See "Tournaments" for schedule).  8:30 AM.  GSJGA membership IS required.  On course experience.  Players will play 9-holes

REGULAR TOUR - $25-$30/event - includes 7 Monday morning events at various courses (see "Tournaments" for schedule). Typically 8:30am Shotgun starts.  GSJGA membership IS required.  Season-ending Tournament of Champions at The Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club, July 28 & 29, 2013.  Starting times to be announced. By invitation only (based on points earned; see "Tournament of Champions" info below)

Boys 16-18, 6,400 - 6,800
Boys 13-15, 6,000 - 6,400
Boys 12 & Under, 5,200 - 5,800
Girls 16-18, 5,400 - 5,900
Girls 13-15, 5,000 - 5,400
Girls 12 & Under, 4,600 - 5,000 

Juniors can elect to play up in an older division.

ELITE JUNIOR TOUR - $35/event - each event is 2-days.  See "Tournaments" for schedule.  Tournaments will begin in the AM.    GSJGA membership IS required.  Field is limited to 42 players with the lowest handicaps.  See "EJT" for more information.

TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS - Members in the Regular Tour and Elite Junior Tour are eligible to compete for an invitation to the Tournament of Champions.  The 2013 event will be held at The Ritz Carlton Members Golf Club in August. Starting times will be announced, by invitation only.   Eligibility is based on points earned.

100 points for winning the event
75 points for second place
50 points for third place
25 points for fourth place                                                                                                                                                    10 points for fifth place
5 points for competing and finishing the event
0 points for disqualification
Negative points can be applied for no cards or no shows

WINTER TOURNAMENT SERIES - GSJGA membership IS required.  See "WTS" for more information.  Events are played once a month from January to May.
